How we review short dramas
Every show on Short Drama Free is hand-curated, written about in our own words, and re-checked on a schedule. This page explains how the directory is built and the standards every record has to clear before it goes live.

What Short Drama Free is
An independent directory that answers one question: where can I watch this short drama for free? We catalogue shows from ReelShort, DramaBox, GoodShort, ShortMax, FlickReels and NetShort, with honest metadata and editorial context. We do not host, stream or rehost any video. Every show links out to the official app or the studio's own channel.
Who writes this
The Short Drama Free editorial team is a small group of writers who follow the short-drama industry closely. Reviews are drafted by the editorial team (with AI assistance for bulk coverage), fact-checked against the source app, and signed off by a human editor before publish. The team is reachable at [email protected].
We name our editorial team because trust requires transparency. If a record is wrong, the team that wrote it is accountable for fixing it.
How we pick a show
A show is added to the directory when all of the following are true:
- It actually exists on a real app. We confirm the title on the source app's official catalog before adding it. We don't list shows we can't verify.
- The free-episode count is real and current. Free-episode
windows change often, so we re-check on a rolling schedule and stamp
the
updateddate on every record. - We have something to say about it. Every record carries an original synopsis, an editorial review, and editorial notes about production context or genre framing. We don't add filler records.
- The source is legitimate. For in-site playback we only embed official YouTube playlists from the app's own channel. We do not embed re-uploads, compilation channels, or anything behind a paywall or sign-in.
What "free" means on this site
When we say a show is "free to watch," we mean the first N episodes can be unlocked in the source app without paying, using only the free coins a brand-new account earns through daily check-ins and rewarded ads. If a show requires spending money to reach any episode, we say so plainly.
In-site vs. link-out. When a clean official embed exists (an English-language, multi-episode playlist on the app's own YouTube channel), we play those episodes right here. When no clean embed exists, the show stays on the directory as a link-out to the source app so people can still find it, and we clearly mark it as "watch on the app."
How ratings work
The star rating and rating count shown on each show page reflect the in-app user rating pulled from the source app. We display what the app shows — we do not compute our own average from a separate panel. If the app's rating differs from a third-party review site, we go with the source app because that is the rating a new viewer would see after installing.
Editorial independence and disclosure
The Short Drama Free editorial team is not paid by any of the apps we cover.
Some outbound links to app stores are affiliate links — when a user
installs through one of those links, we may earn a small commission at
no extra cost to the user. Affiliate status never changes our honest
assessment of a show or app, and every paid link is tagged with
rel="nofollow sponsored". Affiliate relationships are listed
in our privacy policy.
We do not accept payment to add a record, alter a review, or change a rating. If a studio or app wants us to feature them, they can reach out at [email protected] — we will consider the request on its editorial merits, and we will disclose any partnership on the affected pages.
Corrections
Spotted something wrong? A free-episode count that's drifted, a broken
link, a misattributed synopsis? Email
[email protected]
with the show slug and what's wrong — we fix verified errors quickly,
and we keep a correction log on each record's
updated history.
What we will not do
- We will not host, stream, or rehost any copyrighted video.
- We will not scrape or paraphrase another publisher's reviews.
- We will not embed unofficial / re-uploaded YouTube channels.
- We will not run auto-generated "AI spam" pages built from app-store metadata alone. Every record has hand-written editorial prose.
